Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will return from London to Pakistan on Monday, a senior leader of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz said on Sunday.

Senator Mushahidullah Khan, a close confidante of the PML-N chief, said the NAB proceedings against Nawaz and his family were "minor matters".

Nawaz resigned after a Supreme Court ruling barred him from public office over failure to disclose income from his son's company. Nawaz denies any wrongdoing.

The three-time prime minister had left for London to check on her wife's health after she was diagnosed with lymphoma, a cancer of the lymph nodes on the left side of her neck, last month.

Kulsoom Nawaz recently won his vacated parliamentary seat from NA-120 constituency in what was seen as a test of strength for the ousted premier.

Members of Nawaz's family, including Ishaq Dar , have so far failed to appear before the National Accountability Bureau despite being summoned a number of times.
