Resolution tabled against India’s ‘satanic’ thinking in Punjab Assembly

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members in Punjab Assembly Sadia Sohail Rana and Musarrat Jamshed Cheema filed two separate resolutions against India’s negative behaviour towards Pakistan.

On Monday, PTI member Sadia Sohail Rana filed a resolution against the Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat’s recent statement in which he threatened Pakistan of dire consequences in the current bilateral tension.

“India is giving very unjustifiable statements that could jeopardize the regional peace. Therefore, the Punjab Assembly strongly condemns the statement of the Indian army chief and demands the Pakistani government to raise this issue in the United Nations General Assembly,” the resolution stated.

In a separate resolution, presented by PTI member Musarrat Jamshed Cheema, the assembly demanded to impose financial and trade sanctions on India. “The Modi government and its coward army chief’s intentions have been exposed. They have “satanic” and small thinking and are involved in the Kashmir massacre to cover up their political and military failures,” the resolution text stated.

“Modi wants to start a war with Pakistan to prolong his government tenure but Pakistan is fully prepared to respond with full force. We think the solution lies in negotiations not in war,” it added. The chamber demanded United Nations, Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC) and other International organizations to take notice of the arrogant attitude of India.
