Sindh beat Southern Punjab by five wickets

On Friday, Sindh won their first match of the national T20 tournament by defeating Southern Punjab by five wickets.

The winning side chased down the target in the second ball of the last over with Anwar Ali scoring 29 off just 9 balls.

Sharjeel Khan didn't perform well while Shan Masood was not able to excel as he has gone on 10. The ship was steadied by Khurram Manzoor, who lonely took the team in the middle-overs with composed batting.

He made the 27th half-century and scored 84 off 49. He stroked ten fours and three sixes.

For SP, Aamir Yamin, Naseem Shah, and Muhammad Ilyas took a wicket each.

Earlier, Aamir Yamin guided SP to 175/7 in 20 overs. In the middle-overs, he took the responsibility after all main batters were dismissed. He scored 43 off 26 balls, smashing four sixes and two fours.

Zeeshan Ashraf (34), Zain Abbas (25), Khushdil Shah (21), captain Sohaib Maqsood (18), and Azam Khan (20) also scored crucial runs.

For Sindh, Mohammad Hasnain bagged two while all other bowlers claimed a wicket each.
