OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE The launching ceremony of a book titled 'Chalo Cheen Chalen written by renowned poet, writer and lyricist Riaz-ur-Rahman Saghar was held at Lahore Gymkhana Club in Saturday night. Noted poet and Majlis-e-Taraqqi-e-Adab director Shahzad Ahmed presided over the ceremony while Prof Aqeel Robi, Mohammad Pervaiz Kaleem read their papers on art and personality of Riaz-ur-Rahman. Besides, a large number of writers and artists attended the ceremony which was addressed by former minister Mohammad Ali Durrani, artistes Naeem Tahir, Usman Pirzada, Aslam Dar, Sangeeta Begum, Nisho Begum, Dr Umar Adil and senior actor Kawi Khan as well. Addressing the ceremony, Shahzad Ahmed said Saghar had done good job in all fields of literature including poetry, short stories and travelogue. He said Saghir was doing a good job by composing verses which were being published in daily Nawa-i-Waqt. He further said to compose a poem on daily basis was difficult task but Saghir was successfully doing it.
