PESHAWAR (Online) - A special monitoring cell has been established in the provincial capital to keep an eye on suspicious activities of foreigners. After the detention of several US citizens from Peshawar involved in unwanted activities, this cell has been established in special branch and 200 personnel of this cell would monitor the activities of foreigners in Peshawar and other part of the province. The cell would gather the information about all the foreigners entering the province and would share this information with both provincial and federal governments. This cell would also keep an eye on all hotels, restaurants and guest houses. Under the supervision of Additional Inspector General Special Branch Akhtar Ali Shah, this cell would also be responsible to collect information about illegal Afghan residents living in Peshawar and other parts of the province. All the information would be provided to police and other law enforcement agencies. Meanwhile, the civilian wing of the special branch had also been advised to remain high alert.
