Umar Bhutta to lead Pakistan in Junior Asia Cup

KARACHI - International M Umar Bhutta has been named captain of Pakistan junior hockey team for the 7th Junior Asia Cup to be played at Malacca (Malaysia) from May 13.
The national selection committee led by former Olympian Hanif Khan observed the one-day trials here at the Hockey Club of Pakistan on Tuesday and picked an 18-member team naming Bhutta as captain and Syed Kashif Shah as his deputy.
Rana Mujahid Ali is manager and head coach of the team while coaches Danish Kaleem, Anjum Saeed and Ahmed Alam, team doctor Asad Abbas Shah and video analyst Syed Abu Zar Umrao will also fly with the team which will leave for Malaysia on April 26.
SQUAD: Mazhar Abbas, Syed Kashif Shah (vice-capt), M Khalid, Aleem Bilal, M Rizwan, M Tousiq, Tasawwar Abbas, Kashif Javed, Zohaib Ashraf, M Irfan, M Umar Bhutta (Capt), M Dilber, Ali Shan, M Suleman, M Umair, Hafiz Umer Sardar, M Jaffar and Hafiz Rizwan Ali.
