LAHORE - The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has introduced National U-16 Inter-club Girls’ Football Championship which will be played here from June 17 to start a comprehensive football activity for girls at early level. “The PFF wants to engage girls at grass root level and this event will help in further attracting girls to take up football as a sport,” said the PFF spokesman here on Wednesday. He said the event would give the chance to the emerging talent to display and further develop their football skills. The PFF has invited over 50 registered women football clubs around the country to participate in the event. This will help each club to form and utilize its young pool of talented players to compete in a competitive manner, he added. – Staff Reporter
