On the Indus River, near district Mianwali, there is a Chashma lake which is the second largest water source in Pakistan. It now has a severe pollution problem. The water is filthy with human excretion and a hospital’s waste, that is located on the edge of this beautiful lake and thus this waste is directly poured into the fresh water. This lake is also famous for Siberian birds. In winter its condition is worse than summer, due to lack of water. The marine life is gradually rotting so I request the Punjab Fishery Department to take notice of this polluted water to prevent the extinction of fish and fauna.
