LAHORE The F-Block Core Committee lauded the Punjab government for complete acquisition of land for the extension of Journalist Colony to award plots to the journalists who have been kept from their due right year after year.

The committee also called for early start of initial paperwork towards allotment of plots as a consolation measure for the journalists affected by the long delay, according to a press release.

The Core Committee also lauded the efforts of the Lahore Press Club elected body in this connection.

The committee expressed confidence in the phase-wise work being carried out by the Punjab Information Secretary. They, however, called for early delivery of 10 marla, instead of 8-marla, plots. The meeting of the core committee, presided over by its chairman Sher Afzal Butt, was attended by Senior Vice Chairman Muqeem Ch, Joint Secretary Imran Ali and Asif Chaudhry, Rana Irfan, Kashar Butt, Awais Qarni and Zahid Shafiq Tayyab amongst other committee members.
