President Mamnoon Hussain says friendly relations with its neighbours is foundation of Pakistan's foreign policy, reported by Radio Pakistan.  

He was talking to Commander Sri Lankan Army Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake in Islamabad on Wednesday.

The President said Pakistan and Sri Lanka always enjoyed cordial relations.

President Mamnoon Hussain said Pakistan is cradle of Buddha civilization which is common heritage of the two countries.
