The second session of the ongoing two-day ministerial level meeting of Friends of Democratic Pakistan (FoDP) will be held in Istanbul on Tuesday, report said. The meeting would discuss ways of boosting investment and private entrepreneurship in Pakistan besides mulling over the security situation of the country. Ways to eradicate poverty and to tackle prevailing energy crisis in Pakistan would also be discussed in todays session, it was reported. Todays meeting would also review the preparations for the next FoDP summit to be held in New York on Sept 24. The meeting will be co-chaired by the presidents of Pakistan and the US and the prime minister of Britain. On Monday, the group praised and approved the Malakand development strategy presented by Pakistan and offered its support for its implementation. Representatives from Australia, Canada, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Republic of Korea, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and the United States attended the meeting.
