LAHORE – Nine more patients of suspected dengue were reported in the City on Friday, as the scaring dengue resurfaced in the past couple of days.

The suspected patients namely Rahila, Khadim Hussain, Muhammad Rasool and Ghulam Ali were admitted to the Services, Mayo, General and Jinnah hospitals, respectively, while Chand, Ahmed Khan, Nawaz, Lubna and Shirin Khan were lodged in private hospitals.

Meanwhile, a spokesman of the Health Department has maintained that during the last eight months, laboratory tests of 1,025 fever patients had been conducted on suspicion of dengue, however the test results were negative and the disease was not confirmed.

He further maintained that 12 confirmed dengue patients had been reported in Punjab so far, out of which only two patients were still getting treatment.
