Accused remanded for five days


LAHORE – An Anti-Terrorism Court on Friday awarded to police five-day physical remand of an accused Salim Rahim, who was allegedly involved in taking photographs in the court of Lahore High Court (LHC) Chief Justice Umar Ata Bandial.
The police produced Rahim in the court and said the accused was caught red handed while taking snaps in the court of the LHC chief justice. The court was further informed that sensitive data were retrieved from the mobile of the accused.
The police requested the court for 14-day physical remand of the accused, but the court gave five-day remand and ordered the police to produce the accused on August 29.
Rahim is a resident of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and runs a travel agency in Muzaffarabad. He came to Lahore to appear in the court and said he did not know taking pictures in the court was prohibited.
