MANDI BAHAUDDIN - Attempt to kidnap a lawyer foiled here the other day.  Reportedly, Advocate Ghulam Rasul, a resident of Dhoke Kasib was busy in his Chamber at District Courts. In the meantime, nine armed people entered the chamber and dragged the advocate out.
When culprits were dragging him to a vehicle other lawyers and litigants interfered and released the advocate from the clutches of the kidnappers.  The culprits hit the advocate with fists and kicks while dragging him.  The Civil Lines Police have registered a case.  The police said that the culprits had an old enmity with the lawyer.  The local lawyers announced boycott of courts on Saturday (today) against the incident.
