LAHORE (PR): Lahore city does not like waking up too early on Sundays and rightly so. Unlike the rest of the schools in the city, Lacas School Network had their “Open House” at their sprawling Burki campus at the Imperial Garden Block Paragon City. The open house showcased what the Lacas Burki campus has to offer to parents who are currently studying at the campus and also to potential parents who want to have their children admitted at this state of the art campus.
Huge attendance was seen despite the Sunday holiday. The campus looked all decked up with multiple activities being taken place. The parents got a chance to meet with the top management of Lacas School Network which included their Directors, Principals and Vice Principals for any queries they had with respect to the academic culture at Lacas or admissions. This gave the parents much confidence as you seldom get to meet the runners of the show for any school. Various classrooms had ongoing activities such as arts and crafts, story telling, pottery making, painting and music.
Exclusive workshops for Pre Schooler parents were arranged where the parents were given certificates in the end. These recognised workshops reflected on leadership qualities and Good Parenting. Many parents were signed up for these workshops and gave great feedback. “This is probably the best Open House or any school event I have been to. My children are not in Lacas but after seeing the activities, the campus and the attending the workshops I am changing my mind” said a parent.
Lacas Burki campus has introduced Smart E-Learning in their pre-school from this session onwards and have installed state of the art smart-boards and e-learning equipment in all their classrooms. “What I liked the most about the event was that I got to know that my child will now be able to get all those facilities that elite schools in Lahore have in a much lesser price”. Technology integration is the next big thing in our academic systems and Lacas Burki has taken this plunge with a full leap.
Lacas is keen on having student exchange programmes and there were student booths where Lacas students who had been to China, Turkey and England in the past year sitting and telling their experiences. Lacas had its boys football team attend a camp at the all famous Manchester United Club this summer which is one of kind initiative by any school in the country. The boys went for a two week summer camp to play football with the leading players in the world. “It was by far the best experience of my life to be at Man U club” said a student who had gone this summer. Lacas is the first school to start an exchange linkage with the schools in China and their girls who had visited last year were present at the Open House.
Existing Lacas parents were attending orientation sessions with teachers which explained to them what all their children will be studying and learning throughout the year at the school. The event had a great food court where parents and children enjoyed a variety of eatables and drinks. The parents also got a chance to visit the huge 4 acre school campus and see all pre-school, girls and boys branches.
