KHAIRPUR
11 people including three of a same family were killed in a road accident near Kot Lalo here on Sunday.
According to detail, a Sukkur-bound passenger van on the way from Nawabshah when reached near Kot Lalo at Mehran National Highway, collided with a passengers coach coming from Quetta to Karachi. Resultantly 11 persons including women, children and three members of the same family were killed while 12 others sustained injuries. The dead were identified as namely Khadim Khaskheli, Ghulam Nabi, Azam Solangi, Mairaj Ahmed Shar, Zulekhan, Altaf Daheri, Munir Ahmed Soomro, Naimatullah Malah, his wife Mst Rahiman Malah and son Ali, resident of Thari Mirwah.
The died bodies and injured were shifted to Taluka hospital Faiz Jung from where critically injured were shifted to Nawabshah hospital.
The coach driver run away from the spot and the police impounded the coach and van. According to Kot Lalo Police, the accident was held due to speeding.
