ISLAMABAD - M Abid Ali Akbar, Ahmed Chaudhry and Asad Ali Siyyid Monday won their respective matches in the PTF Masters' Invitational Tennis Championship 2015 at the hard courts of Pakistan Sport Complex.

In the first match of the day, Ahmed beat M Abid in four sets 3-6, 6-3, 6-3, 6-3. Abid won the first set 6-3 but Ahmed bounced back strongly and managed to win the second set 6-3. Ahmed continued his good form and played superb tennis to win the next two sets 6-3, 6-3 to ensure victory.

In the second match of the day, Abid Akbar defeated Yasir Khan in straight sets 6-2, 7-5, 6-3. Although Abid Akbar won the first set easily 6-2, yet he faced tough resistance from Yasir in the second set, however, he composed himself and raced onto win the set 7-5 and also took the third set 6-3.

In the third match, Asad Siyyid outclassed Hamza Mehmood in straight sets 6-4, 6-2, 6-2. Asad took two hours and nine minutes to win the match, as he took the first set 6-4 by breaking Hamza’s eighth game while took the next two sets easily 6-2, 6-2. It may be recalled that through the personal efforts of the current PTF management, two young boys Asad Ali Siyyid and Hamza were discovered and invited from Canada and England respectively to prove their worth and play against one of the best in Pakistan.
