KARACHI (Staff Reporter): A new aviation policy aims at creating local job opportunities, boost exports and encourage revenue generation through which the CAA would also earn revenue.. A spokesman of CAA in a statement issued here said the airport terminal side may be outsourced to operators but the airports would remain the property of the govt. He said that due to non-availability of international flights from the state-owned airline in cities like Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad and Turbat, a few international airlines would be allowed to operate there to ensure competitive fares and boost export of perishable goods.

The spokesman also said that a new policy was developed in line with global and regional trends and all stakeholders were taken on board. The policy sought to help passengers/ shippers, offer low prices and create local jobs.
