Islamabad - A local court yesterday granted bail to DJ Butt after hearing a case related to the violation of ban on the use of loudspeakers in the federal capital.

Butt appeared before the court of Assistant Commissioner Islamabad Waqas Rasheed after non-bailable warrants were issued for his arrest on Friday last.

Upon hearing the music guru’s stance, the court granted bail to Butt until September 3 and directed him to furnish a security bond worth Rs 100,000 for his release. Butt was also ordered to appear before the court on the next hearing of the case on September 3.

DJ Butt managed the sound system during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s 126-day sit-in last year. A case was registered against him at the Secretariat police station in Islamabad on charges of violating section 144 and sections of amplifier act.
