57.8pc declared successful in HSSC part-I exams

Islamabad - Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) yesterday announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate Part-I Annual Examination, declaring the overall pass percentage of 57.80.

According to the result announced here, a total of 54,940 regular candidates appeared in the exams out of them 32,706 could pass it, with pass percentage of 59.53. While a total of 2491 private candidates appeared in the exams out of them 488 could pass the exam with total pass percentage of 19.59.

A total of 7,957 regular candidates appeared in the exam in humanities group out of them 4216 could pass it against the 375 private candidates out of total 1755 appeared.

While in Pre-Medical group, a total of 13,838 regular candidates appeared in the exam out of them 10,240 could pass the exams against the one private candidates out of total four appeared.

In Pre-Engineering group, a total of 15,797 regular candidates appeared in the exams out of them 10,969 could pass it. While no private candidate could pass the exam out of total eight appeared.

In the Science General group, a total of 12,490 regular candidates appeared in the exams out of them 5,325 could pass it while no private candidate could pass the exam out of three appeared.

In Commerce group, a total of 4,628 regular candidates appeared in the exams out of them 1877 could pass the exam against the 112 private candidates out of total 721 appeared.

In Med Tech group, a total of 230 regular candidates appeared in the exams and out of them 79 could pass it.

The result cards of regular candidates within the country and abroad are being dispatched to the heads of their respective institutions from where they appeared and those of private candidates within the country on the addresses given by them in their admission forms.

The result cards of regular and private candidates belonging to Gilgit-Baltistan are being sent to the FBISE sub-office at Gilgit-Baltistan.

If result card is not delivered to any private candidate by September 02, 2016, he or she may contact the board office for issuance of result card which will be issued free of cost up to one month after declaration of the result. 

This year, 28 unfair means cases were reported and all were resolved through adopting a judicious procedure.
