LAHORE - Prime Minister Imran Khan is scheduled to visit Lahore on Wednesday (Today).
Besides meetings with Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar, the prime minister will chair meetings on law and order, development projects and coronavirus situation in Punjab. He will also be briefed on the progress achieved in respect of the three recent incidents of women molestation in the city.
Imran Khan is also expected to meet Punjab Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid, Law Minister Basharat Raja, Punjab Chief Secretary and IGP. He will also address the “Education Convention 2021”. All meetings and ceremonies will take place at the Governor’s House.
Meanwhile, Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar had a meeting at the Governor’s House on Tuesday to set the agenda for PM’s meetings with the Punjab high ups.
Imran Khan to be briefed on progress achieved in respect of recent incidents of women harassment in city
Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar said that the political future of the opposition was bleak. “Political opponents will continue to give dates of protests against the government whereas the elections will be held in 2023. The Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has taken exemplary and historical initiatives in three years,” he added. It was decided in the meeting that the projects of Punjab Aab-e-pak Authority will be expedited to provide clean drinking water to the people. The governor lauded the three-year initiatives of Usman Bazdar's government in sectors of health and education. Expressing gratitude to the chief minister for his full cooperation in the projects of Punjab Aab-e-Pak authority, the governor said that work on 1,500 projects in Punjab was in full swing without any political distinction and all those projects would be completed by December 2021. He said with the completion of those projects clean drinking water would be provided to more than 8 million people of Punjab.
