SWAT - At least six persons have been killed and another has been injured in fresh clashes in different parts of Swat District, sources disclosed on Wednesday. According to the sources, security forces targeted militants suspected hideouts in Banjot, Telgram and Dakorak areas of Swat District. In Dakorak, a mortar hit a house, resulting in the killing of a woman and injuring of her minor son. The injured person was later rushed to a hospital. No further details of his condition are available. Moreover, two dead bodies, slaughtered by some unknown militants, were also recovered from Qambar area of Tehsil Mingora. According to sources, they have been identified as Khan Bahadar and Sher Bahadar. Meanwhile, in another incident some unknown militants killed a man who, according to them, had been spying for the secret agencies. Similarly, some unknown militants also killed two persons in Ser Teligram and Shakardara. One of them has been identified as Attaullah. APP adds: At least eleven more militants were killed and several others injured when security forces attacked their hideouts at Shakardara in Swat district on Wednesday. According to spokesman of Swat Media Centre, security forces, backed by gunship helicopters and artillery, targeted the locations of militants at Skarardara in Tehsil Matta and eliminated 11 militants. The security forces consolidated their positions in Sangota, he added. Curfew remained imposed in Khawzakhela to Mingora and in Shakardara. At least 22 militants were killed and two soldiers embraced martyrdom during the last two days operation at Shakardara Tehsil Matta.
