ISLAMABAD -Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza, Madam has extended heartiest greetings to the Christian community on the auspicious occasion of Christmas. She said that said that Jesus Christ was ordained by Almighty Allah to preach love, peace, tolerance and brotherhood. He inculcated spiritual valves among his followers to work for the divine pleasure. The Muslims deeply revere Prophet Jesus Christ as one of the great messengers of God Almighty. His eternal message of love for humanity and for the Members of all communities and fraternities still holds strength to ensure harmony and peace in the world, she said. Dr. Fehmida Mirza, on this happy occasion, reiterated the pledge of the government to fully safeguard the rights and privileges enjoyed by all minorities according to the constitution of Pakistan and guiding principles of the Father of Nation. She said that she would avail this opportunity to extend her appreciation to our Christian brethren for their deep sense of patriotism and dedicated services for the progress and prosperity of the country. She said that their unmatched contribution in the process of nation building, especially in fields of heath and education was glowing chapter of our national history.
