A Punjab government representative has handed over cheques worth Rs1.1 million each to the grieved families of Sialkot-based two students who were martyred in terrorism attack on APS Peshawar.

Subedar Rana Aurang Zeb, father of Khushnood Zeb, and Subedar Nazir Ahmed, father of Shahzaib Nazir, received the cheques. A ceremony was held at the office of Assistant Commissioner Daska. Earlier, cheques of Rs.0.5 million each were given to the grieved families on Saturday.

On the occasion, a district official formally announced the renaming of two government primary schools after the martyred students. Now the name of Govt Boys Primary School Qila Kalarwala, Pasrur tehsil would be Govt Shahzaib Boys Primary School Qila Kalarwala Pasrur tehsil. This school has been named after Shahzaib Nazir. Likewise, Qila Kalarwala-Pasrur Road has also been renamed as Shahzaib Shaheed Road. Similarly, Govt Boys Primary School Dugri-Daska has also been renamed after Khushnood Zeb, another victim of APS Peshawar attack.
