FBR TO EXPAND TEACHERS' TAX NET

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) decided to bring teachers of the local universities, colleges and schools under the tax net in Gujranwala Division.

According to FBR officials, it had finalised the notices to be issued to the tax payable professors, lecturers and teachers for bringing them under the tax net.

On the other side, the teachers strongly criticised the FBR decision and warned that it would have to face the strong reaction from the teachers' community if it served on the recovery notices.
