KARACHI - Police on Sunday claimed to have resolved a murder of a private school principal who was killed under mysterious circumstances in District East of Karachi. Police have arrested victim’s husband for killing his wife.

A private school Principal Ambreen Fatima was shot dead on December 10 when she along with her husband, Ali Hassan, was on the way to their home in Soldier Bazaar after attending a programme within their relatives.

Initially, the husband, namely Ali Hassan had told the police that the robbers shot dead his wife while he attempted to offer resistance on a robbing bid.

The police later registered a case against unidentified persons and had initiated further investigations about to probe a case.

According to SP Jamshed Division Police Dr Rizwan Ahmed Khan, the police had remained doubtful since the incident occurred.

The police during investigations learnt that the incident did not occur over offering resistance on a robbing bid while the victim was murdered.

The police during investigations found the involvement of the victim’s husband.

The police initially took victim’s husband into custody who confessed the crime. Later the police also arrested the suspect’s second wife, Sahar Shams and her brother Balaaj.

The police revealed that Ali worked as an administrator in the same school, Ambreen was working as Principal while Sahar was a teacher there.

Police further said that Sahar and Ambreen were also friends and Sahar and Ali had gotten marriage in a private.

Police said that the suspects made plan to kill the victim as Balaaj and Sahar were pressuring Ali to own a second marriage and a rukhsati.

Police said that thought it has been confirmed that the victim’s husband has had murdered his wife while the others suspects forced him to murder a wife. The case has been registered while further investigation was underway.

Separately, Pakistan Rangers, Sindh claimed to have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from Moosa Colony area of the city, on Sunday.

According to the Rangers spokesman, the recovered arms and ammunition were hidden underground at MQM London Sector Office located in Moosa Colony area.

The spokesman added that the recovered weapon were include Two SMGs with magazines, three repeaters,8MM rifle, Point22 rifle, a Mini Machine Gun, 9MM pistol, 30bore pistol, pen pistol, 24 rounds of SMG, 436 rounds of 8MM rifles and 250 rounds of point22 rifles. The spokesperson said that the weapons were dumped by the activists of Muttahida Quami Movement, London for create anarchy in city.
