Regarding delay in cases, he said there was a need for encouraging police to conduct investigations in the cases assigned to them to bring culprits to the task without unnecessary delay.
Earlier, the house suspended rest of the agenda to hold a debate on the unfortunate incident, which was adopted unanimously.
Condemning the unfortunate incident, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs said accused involved in the Sialkot tragedy had been arrested. “The probe is in the final stage. Its challan will be submitted before the related anti-terrorism court for the trial,” he said adding that the law gives the court 7-day time to dispose of the case.
With the onset of the proceedings, PML-N’s senior leader Ahsan Iqbal strongly condemned the Sialkot tragedy and suggested holding a debate on it.
The house at the beginning of proceedings witnessed thin presence of lawmakers in the house.
