PM appoints Advocate KK Agha as Additional Attorney General

Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani has appointed Advocate KK Agha as Additional Attorney General, reported a private TV channel. KK Agha is a Karachi based advocate who had been defending the alleged corruption cases against former prime Minister benazir Bhutto and her spouse Asif Zardari during the 1990s. Advocate KK Agha was also part of the government's team in the recent NRO case and along with federation's lawyer, Kamal Azfar. KK Agha was appointed by the law ministry to plead the government's case before the 17 member bench. As Additional Attorney General, KK AGHA is expected to mount a challenge to the 17 member Supreme Court bench verdict in the form of a government review petition on NRO case.
