KARACHI - Provincial minister for fisheries, Zahid Ali Bhurgari has assured the families of the Pakistani fishermen of the repatriation of their dear ones who are detained in India. He said while talking to fishermen who were protesting for the release of their detained relatives. The fishermen were staging a token hunger strike in front of Karachi Press Club on Wednesday. The minister ensured them that government was taking up this issue and that the families would also be provided financial support. He said that after the incident of Ajmal Qassab, the process of negotiations with India had been stopped which he hoped would be started afresh. While answering a question about the incident that took place in Balochistan in which a Sindhi fisherman was shot dead, he said an FIR had been registered against the accused in addition to his arrest. Zahid Ali Bhurgari also attended a girl who had been paralysed by the alleged negligence of JPMC doctors. He assured support to the affected family.
