PEC postpones 5th class English paper

LAHORE - Punjab Examination Commission postponed the examination of English paper of 5th class on Tuesday after the invigilators failed to provide question papers at the examination halls.
According to a revised date sheet issued by PEC, later on, the paper of English will be held on Wednesday (today).
On Tuesday, candidates reached the examination halls at 11:00am, as per the schedule issued by PEC. After 15 minutes, the invigilators announced that the exam had been postponed till Wednesday. This caused much trouble and confusion for those parents who were scheduled to attend their offices and homes, and also for those children whose parents had already left after dropping them at examination halls. The young kids started crying and continued the practice till their parents arrived.
Soon after the exam’s postponement, parents chanted slogans against the government. Their children also joined them when the slogan ‘Go Nawaz Go’ was raised by some of the protestors.
Shortly after the protest, PEC revised the date sheet and announced that the examination of English would be held on February 25 (today), while the paper of Urdu would be conducted on Thursday Feb 26. Yet, the date for the paper of Islamic Studies has not been issued.
