KARACHI   -  Bahria Town Karachi, which is known for its beautiful landscaping and outstanding parks, was recently awarded positions 21 positions in different categories in the 70th Pakistan Annual Flower Show 2021 organised by Horticulture Society of Pakistan. Talking about the achievement of the department, GM Horticulture Bahria Town Karachi, Ms Ayesha Waqar said, “Being a conscientious organization, Bahria Town Karachi is not only providing the best of scenic locations but also ensuring eco-friendly measures to safeguard the environment. To conserve our resources, we have introduces the techniques of harvesting rain water and treating gray sewer water at a 24/7 Sewerage Treatment Plant to meet our construction and horticulture needs and conserve fresh drinking water.” This is not the first time that the Bahria Town’s horticulture department grabbed positions in this particular event. In last three years, Bahria Town Karachi won 5, 13 and 17 top positions respectively. This year Bahria Town Karachi raised the bar yet again by winning 21 positions in various categories. Organised by the Horticulture Society of Pakistan, award-winning categories stretched across all sectors of the horticulture industry. In the categories of small, medium, large and extra-large park, Ali Block Park and Ancient Park won second & third positions in the categories of small park, D-Park, Golf City stood second in medium size parks, Entrance park stood second in large parks whereas Danzoo, Carnival and Bahria Paradise Gate Park came first, second and third respectively in the category of extra-large parks.

In other categories, second position was won by Bahria Adventure Land Theme Park in the category of best theme garden, first position won by Bahria Town International Hospital in best hospital garden, and first and second positions in best mosque garden category was won by Masjid-e- Sarwar and Masjid-e-Shuhada respectively. 

Corporate Office and Camp Office earned second and third positions respectively in the category of best small office garden while Bahria Town Head Office stood first in large office category. Rayhan Hill Golf Club stood second as best golf club garden. Tauheed Square, Malik Square and Main Gate won first, second and third positions respectively. Jinnah Avenue came first whereas Avenue 04-05 and Avenue 1 came second and third in the category of 60 feet wide roads.
