LAHORE – The Pakistan Railways IGP Syed Ibne Hussain on Tuesday issued directions to all the railways police at all divisions to take strict actions against the beggars at railways stations.

“Beggars often involved in the crimes like pick-pocketing, luggage lifting and in theft of material and gave heavy loss to the passengers in the running trains as well as on railways stations,” observed the IGP.

He held that anti-state elements could also use their image for their nefarious activities. Syed Ibne Hussain issued strict directions to all SPs of Railway Divisions to launch a weekly campaign against these beggars. He also directed to remove the beggars from Railway Stations, trains and railway yards. He said that railways police was doing all possible efforts to make safe the journey of the passengers.
