BAHAWALPUR - The Abu Dhabi Cholistan People’s Welfare Trust and Cholistan Development Council of Pakistan Bahawalpur jointly arranged a Folk Music Show on Tuesday to highlight the Cholistani culture and neglected artists and singers of Cholistan.

Bahawalpur Divisional Commissioner Muhammad Mushtaq Ahmed presided over the function which was graced by the Islamia University Bahawalpur Vice-Chancellor Dr Muhammad Mukhtar as the chief guest.

A number of folk singers from Cholistan, including Hasina Khanam, Shazia Talib, Bushra Marvi, Mai Sunari, Korra Bhagat, Karishan Lal Bheel, Kausar Japani, Ghulam Hussain and Murid Hussain, enthralled the audience with their melodious songs.

Meanwhile, an international music conference will be shortly arranged here to introduce Colistani artists, singers, music and culture at the larger scale. This was announced during the function by CDCP Bahawalpur Managing Director Farooq Ahmed Khan.

A large number of people from all walks of life attended the function.
