RAWALPINDI - A trial court on Tuesday refused to grant post-arrest bail to PML-N legislator on medical grounds for his alleged involvement in National Police Foundation (NPC) land scam. When the Special Judge Central (SJC) Mian Khalid Shabbir resumed hearing of the post bail plea filed by PML-N MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan on medical grounds in NPC land scam, Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Heat Specialist Dr Akhtar Ali, who issued medical certificate to Anjum, tendered his written statements before the court.

In his statement the doctor apprised the court that Anjum was under treatment as two of his vessels were blocked.

The judge asked the doctor whether the accused was suffering from any other decease; the doctor replied the patient also suffered a high blood pressure.

On this, SJC Mian Khalid Shabbir refused to award the post arrest bail to Anjum Aqeel Khan and directed the doctor to submit all the stuff in written before the court. It is pertinent to mention here that PML-N MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan went under cure in PIMS after dismissing of his pre arrest bail by a court for his alleged involvement in NPC land scam.
