A seminary belonging to a banned outfit was sealed while police arrested 20 Afghani citizens and four others for distributing hate literature to the local people in separate raids.

The Sadiqabad police were tipped off that suspicious persons used to visit a seminary situated on the National Highway. The police along with heavy squad reached there and closed down the seminary which was being run by a banned outfit.

In Hasilpur, police did search operation in hotels and other locations and arrested 16 Afghan nationals. In Rahim Yar Khan, the police arrested Muhammad Agha, Jaan Agha, Sadaam, and Baaz Muhammad during patrolling, and registered a case against them Under Section 14 of Foreigners Act.

The police arrested four other persons involved in distribution of hate material including M Abdullah, Shah Muhammad, Fiaz Ahmad and M Ramzan.

KILLED ON RESISTANCE: Dacoits shot a young man dead when he did not stop his motorcycle here the other night.

Reportedly, two real brothers namely Maqsood and Ayub, residents of Hasilpur were going after finished their duty at SARCO Company here the other night. When they reached near Chak 5/BC, unidentified dacoits tried to stop them but they accelerated the motorcycle. Upon this, dacoits started direct firing on them and a bullet hit Hafiz Ayub who was driving the bike. He fell down from bike and dacoits snatched cellphone and cash from them and fled away from the scene. The area people gathered and took injured Ayub to hospital in critical condition but he could not survive.

The Abbasnagar Police have registered a murder case against unknown dacoits.
