ISLAMABAD: Preparations are underway with zeal and fervour to celebrate 700th Urs of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam and in this connection, an International Conference under the chair of President Syed Mamnoon Hussain will be held at Aiwan-e-Sadr on March 6.
This was stated by State Minister for Religious Affairs Pir Aminul Hasnat who chaired a meeting of the Archaeological and Historical Association of Pakistan here.  He said that he forwarded recommendations received from Archaeological and Historical Association of Pakistan Chairman Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi to President.–PR

He said that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had issued directives to Federal Ministries and all provincial departments of Aquaf and educational and cultural institutions to celebrate 700th celebrations of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam in a befitting manner.
He said that prominent figures, scholars and intellectuals would participated the conference.
On the occasion, AHAP Chairman Dr Ghazanfar Mehdi appealed the Prime Minister to issue directives to the Ministry of Education to contact UNESCO to celebrate 700 celebrations of Hazrat Shah Rukn-e-Alam at International level.
