Sialkot- Minutes after US president landed in New Delhi on landmark visit, Indian Border Security Force (BSF) today once again resorted to unprovoked fire at the Line of Control (LoC) in Charwa Sector while Chenab Rangers retaliated befittingly.
Sources affirmed that heavy weapons were also employed from both the sides in addition to firing mortar shells whereas no loss of life was reported.
An exchange of firing took place in the areas of Pisror, Dhamalia, Tulsipur and Nagoor from 2 am to 4 am last night.
Earlier, two Rangers personnel Naik Riaz Shakar and Lance Naik Safdar were killed as Indian BSF on Wednesday violated the LoC aiming shots at the officers in Shakargarh Sector.
According to the Pakistan Rangers spokesperson, BSF local commander called them over for a flag meeting and opened fire as two of the soldiers reached the border.
Rangers representative also said that BSF were not even allowing them to get the injured officers back from the border. Both the officers succumbed to their injuries.
Indian forces had resorted to unprovoked offenses in October and November targeting various check posts, local residents and cattle.
