In its annual report released here, the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) put the Revenue Department on top in corruption and bribery with the TMAs remained second while the Police Department at third in Gujranwala Division during the outgoing year 2014.

The ACE report said that 333 officials belonging to various government departments were arrested for their involvement in corruption in six districts Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Sialkot, Narowal, Gujranwala and Hafizabad. The ACE also registered 260 new cases of bribery, corruption, embezzlement and fraud. Of the total registered case, 36 were shifted to other regions while inquiry was ordered in five cases. Similarly, 159 cases were dropped. The ACE also ordered arrest of accused in 130 corruption cases.
