ISLAMABAD - On the direction of the Supreme Court, the Establishment Division Wednesday issued a notification seeking details of bureaucrats having dual nationality till 31-01-2018.   

According to the notification: “The honourable Supreme Court of Pakistan vide Order dated 17-01-2018 passed in C.P No.3339&3340 of 20126 has directed to provide complete information as to how many civil servants working in BS-17 and above in the federal as well provincial governments have dual nationality.”

It further said that it is requested the subject information in respect of all the civil servants excluding the officers of Pakistan Administrative Service, Secretariat Group, Police Service of Pakistan and Officer Management Group may kindly be provided to this Division, including name of officer and his/her dependent (s), status of dual nationality (name of country) and date of application.

The Establishment Division also said that all required information should reach this Division latest by 31-01-2018.   

Sources said that several senior bureaucrats have dual nationality but they always avoided to share it with the Establishment Division. They said that if they would not provide their details of dual nationality then they would face the music.
