Timergara - Federal Minister for Defence and PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Pervez Khattattak on Monday said that strict disciplinary action would be taken against those elected members of PTI who have failed to manage the party’s victory in elections to village and tehsil councils in their respective constituencies.
Addressing the workers convention at Tarun Hall in Lower Dir, Pervez Khattak said that grouping could damage the party saying those who did not accept party’s decisions regarding tickets issuance would be dealt strictly. He asked workers and elected members that the local bodies (LG) elections to be held in March must be won at any cost as he wanted results.
The party will open its offices at tehsil headquarters level where all the elected MPAs and MNAs will be available round the clock to address grievances of the people, said Pervez Khattak.
He urged workers to check the false propaganda of opposition regarding inflation as it was the Covid-19 pandemic due to which the entire world had been facing inflation as all sorts of trades and businesses were affected in the USA, Saudi Arabia and Europe.
Workers were the real asset of the party and they deserve to be taken in confidence in making any decision, he added, saying the second phase of local bodies election was a matter of life and death for PTI.
He asked the elected members to finalize names of candidates for the upcoming LG election with due consultation of party workers as soon as possible so that the nominated candidates may start their campaigns.
