ISLAMABAD - The Supreme Court of Pakistan directed the provinces to withdraw the vehicles being used by law enforcement agencies and intelligence agencies under temporary custody arrangements (Superdari). The apex court bench headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry heard the case pertaining to the vehicles, which were handed over to law enforcement and intelligent agencies for their use under the temporary arrangements. Police had seized the vehicles for various reasons. The Chief Justice directed the chief secretaries of all the four provinces to withdraw these vehicles within two weeks. The court also directed the intelligence agencies to provide details of all such vehicles to its Registrar. The Supreme Court on Friday also rejected plea filed by former DG, Civil Aviation, for seeking access to civil aviation record.
