Bomb, firing claim 3 lives in Balochistan

QUETTA - Three people including a child and woman were killed and two others wounded in separate incidents of bomb blast and firing in different towns of Balochistan on Sunday. In the first incident, unidentified people planted explosive device alongwith the house owned by Wadera Ganj Marri in Kohlu area which went off, killing a six-year-old child identified as Bakhat Bibi and caused injuries to another person namely Tareen Khan. The deceased and injured were taken to the local hospital. Local administration has started investigation into the blast. In another similar incident, explosives placed with the house of Jamal Bugti, former MPA in Dera Allahyar town of Jaffarabad district exploded with a huge bang. However, no loss of life was reported in the blast. Personnel of law-enforcement agencies rushed to the site and cordoned off the area. Separately, a man was killed and a woman received serious injuries in a firing incident in Kalat, some 160 km away from Quetta. Unidentified armed men barged into a house in Towk area of Kalat and opened indiscriminate firing on inmates. As a result, one person identified as Rehmatullah died and a woman sustained serious wounds in the attack. Motive behind the killing is stated to be old enmity. Levies personnel handed over body to heirs and started investigation into the killing. Meanwhile, a person namely Din Muhammad allegedly slaughtered his wife in Khairawa area of Khuzdar district with a sharp instrument and escaped from the scene after committing the crime.
