OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE Capital City Police Officer Ahmad Raza Tahir said on Sunday that the City Police will ensure law and order situation during the holy month of Ramazan. He directed all the divisional SPs and SHOs to ensure special patrolling of their respective areas half an hour before Maghrib and Morning prayers. The CCPO warned that dereliction of duty by any officer and official during the month of Ramazan would not be tolerated at all. In his orders, Ahmad Raza Tahir directed them to visit Mosques and Imam Bargahs in their respective areas to ensure foolproof security arrangements and not to depute any security guard without proper verification. The use of loud speakers would not be allowed, except Travhee prayers, Arabic Khutba, Azan and prayers, whereas, strict legal action would be taken in the case of any violation, he added. He said that car parking should be made at 100 meter away from the sacred places and a security guard or police constable must be deputed there, while no car should be parked without proper checking. The CCPO further directed them to ensure the checking of hotels, Sunday and Ramazan Bazaars, which should be setup at open places. He said that thorough checking of Bus Stands, Railway Station must be ensured and citizens should be briefed to inform at 15 Police Emergency, if they observe any suspicious thing or person. Ahmad Raza Tahir directed CTO SSP Syed Ahmed Mobin to ensure supervision of all circle officers and traffic wardens on busy roads, who would be responsible for the smooth flow of traffic in their respective areas.
