OUR STAFF REPORTER ISLAMABAD - Punjab will be the hot favourites to lift the Men's National Junior Basketball Championship title when they face Fata in the final today (Monday). The semi-finals of the seven-team tournament were played here at the Hamidi Hall of the Pakistan Sports Complex on Sunday in which Punjab comfortably beat Islamabad Whites 59-39 and Fata also go through as they beat KP 49-33. Punjab, who have not been tested by any opposition in the tournament so far, were never in trouble against Islamabad Whites. Fahim once again was Punjab's top scorer with 14 points. He was ably assisted by Kashif Gill (10) and Ehsan Salman (7). Jarri Abbas (12), Ahmed (10) and Usman (8) played well for Islamabad. Fata were at the top of their game in the second semi-final against KP. Wajid was Fata's best player with of 18 points and was ably assisted by Waqar (12) and Fardad (9). Syed Awais Ali led Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa's challenge with (14) while Bilal Khan (10) and Haris Shahzad (6).
