MULTAN - Former prime minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that a national commission would soon be formed for the creation of Seraiki Province. Talking to a delegation of Pakistan Seraiki Party led by Taj Muhammad Khan Langah, Gilani added that the leaders of Seraiki movement would also be taken into confidence on issues like making recommendations for the proposed province and reviewing the performance of the said commission.

Taj Langah said, on the occasion, that the success of Qadir Gilani was success of Seraiki Province movement.

Meanwhile, addressing the participants of his father Syed Alamdar Hussain Gilani’s 34th death anniversary, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said that the late made tremendous efforts for the progress and prosperity of the region. He added that the services of Alamdar  Gilani were not merely social and political, rather he was a philosopher. He told the participants that his father used to offer an iftar party to his friends in connection with the birth anniversary of Hazrat Bibi Fatima (RA) every year on third day of Ramazan during which he himself cooked food. He added that  Alamdar Gilani also passed away on 3rd of Ramadan and therefore his death anniversary was held on this day.

The death anniversary was held at Nishtar Hostel lawns. Once attended by all political big-wigs and ministers, no considerable political personality turned up this time. However, a large number of common citizens, most of whom came from the constituencies of Abdul Qadir and Ali Moosa Gilani, participated in the dua.
