LAHORE – The Pakistan Railways Police (PRP) claimed on Tuesday to have detected 839 passengers travelling without tickets during the past one week.

A statement issued on Tuesday said the Pakistan Railways Police detected 839 ticketless passengers and recovered Rs373,020 from them, which were deposited in the national income.

The number of people travelling without tickets was 277 from Rawalpindi Division, 341 from Lahore Division, 132 from Sukkur Division and 89 from Karachi Division.

The Pakistan Railways Police stated special teams had been constituted on the directions of Railways IGP Syed Ibne Hussain against the passengers who travel without tickets.
