KARACHI  – Sindh Inspector General of Police, Sindh, Fayyaz Ahmed Leghari, has called for beefing up efforts and enhancing intelligence for curbing the crimes.He was chairing a meeting at the Central Police Office regarding the law and order situation.The IGP directed that random snap checking, picketing and patrolling by the police personnel in the metropolis be made more effective.He instructed that intelligence in the reported sensitive areas be enhanced for targeted action against the criminals for curbing the crimes.He further instructed the profiles be also prepared for the incidents of extortion, murders, street crimes, snatching of vehicles etc along with the necessary details.Fayyaz Leghari also called for upgrading the Anti-Extortion Cell and make its working more effective.With regard to checking the incidents of bank dacoities, the IGP directed that the SHOs should visit banks in their jurisdictions, review security arrangements and submit detailed reports to the DIG of the respective zones.They should draw attention that the recording of the CCTV footage should be kept in the branches of the banks as well as back up in their head offices.The meeting was also attended by Additional IGP Karachi, Iqbal Mahmood, DIGP Headquarters, Sardar Abdul Majeed, DIGs, SSPs and other senior police officials.PERFORMANCE OF CM HOUSE OFFICERS REVIEWED: Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Sindh Muhammad Siddique Memon Monday presided a meeting at his office at the CM House. The meeting was attended by officers and sectional heads of CM Secretariat which reviewed the overall performance of the CM Secretariat, said a statement. Muhammad Siddique Memon stressed the need to improve the performance and working systems be changed as per needs of the CM House.The meeting reviewed working and performance of comptroller section, protocol section, administration section, transport section, press section, and other sections of CM House. Secretary to CM directed. The officers to work hard and efforts be made to solve the problems of people as per directives of the Chief Minister Sindh. He directed to improve cleanliness, plantation, beautification another facilities in C.M House, as elected representatives, VVIP’s, VIP’s and other foreign dignitaries regularly pay visit the CM House.
