Mardan security for Ramazan reviewed



MARDAN – Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of police, Mardan range, Abdullah Khan on Tuesday directed the range police to provide security to masses and remain high alert in the holy month of Ramazan.
“Police is the servant of public and should offer its duties honestly and professionally,” he said while chairing a high level meeting about the security and law and order situation during the holy month of Ramazan at his office here on Tuesday. District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan Danishwar Khan, DPO Swabi Abdur Rasheed Khan, SP operation Shah Nazar Khan and all the range DSPs and other police high-ups attended the meeting. The meeting discussed and devised a plan for maintaining complete peace and order in the region during the month of Ramazan. It decided to keep a close watch on the unscrupulous and mischievous elements.
DIG on this occasion directed the cops to discharge their duties with missionary zeal and not to misbehave with the public. He also directed police high-ups to keep a close eye on the miscreants and anti-social elements to maintain the law and order in the region during the holy month. The DIG directed police to beef up the security to provide protection to the masses during Taraveeh, Iftar and other prayer times. He also canceled the holidays of all the police official and jawan and ordered to increase the security of important building, Eidgahs, Bazaars, hospitals, patrol pumps, CNG stations, banks and other sensitive places. He at this occasion also directed the traffic police to increase number of wardens and traffic police jawans at those chowks, bazaars and trade centers where traffic jam problem is created and maintain better flow of traffic so that the masses didn’t face any problems concern with traffic. “Stern action would be taken against those police officials and jawans who failed to provide relief to the masses or any complaint presented before him about any official or jawans without any discrimination.”
