WASHINGTON - Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Sherry Rehman had “candid and constructive” discussions with Senator Harry Reid, the Senate Majority Leader, on US-Pakistan relations and Islamabad’s role in improving regional security situation.A press release of the Pakistan Embassy said, Ambassador Sherry briefed the Senator on Pakistan’s efforts to improve relations with the neighbouring countries of Afghanistan and India. She also thanked him for his personal contributions and efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries. The meeting was part of an ongoing effort to apprise the US leadership on the Capitol Hill of Pakistan’s position and concerns on the bilateral and regional developments.
