KARACHI  - Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Commissioner Matanat Ali Khan has urged the City Wardens to perform duties with commitment to ensure smooth traffic flow during Ramazan.He gave these directions while handing over uniforms to the zonal heads of the City Wardens here. KMC’s Director Municipal Services, Dr Shaukat Zaman and Chief City Warden, Tehsinur Rehman were also present, said a KMC press release issued on Tuesday.He acknowledged that with support of the City Wardens, the traffic police have succeeded in managing the traffic flow in the City, especially in the evening before Iftar.The commissioner said that professional training was being given to the City Wardens in groups. ADMINISTRATOR VISITS KBA OFFICE: Karachi Metropolitan Corporation Administrator Muhammad Hussain Syed said lawyers community had always supported truth and led various movements from front. Talking to members of managing committee and office-bearers of Karachi Bar Association in the KBA office, he said lawyers had important role in providing justice to citizens.Acknowledging the importance of Karachi Bar Association as a representative body of lawyers community in Karachi, Administrator Karachi assured them that problems faced by them would be resolved on preferential basis so that the lawyers could perform their duties in an excellent manner.While visiting the library of KBA, he observed that upgrading of library and provision of more new books was essential which would provide assistance to lawyers in their study and the changes brought into the world in this connection.He on this occasion announced a grant of Rs.5 Lac for purchase of books for KBA Library. He also directed Senior Director Municipal Services to ensure the maintenance of good sanitation condition around the city courts and carry out fumigation in the area. He further said that rain water drainage must be arranged immediately ahead of the monsoon season.Those who were present on this occasion include the Secretary KBA, Khalid Mumtaz, Finance Secretary Naeem Memon, members management committee Adnan Khan, Tariq Bin Nazeer, Abadullah Khan, former Vice President Qadir Khan, Masood Khan, former joint secretary Farhat Ali Naqvi, Senior Director Municipal Services Dr Shoukat Zaman and other high officials.
